This beautiful Vera Wang necklace of crystals and tulle.  It reminds me of a sugar plum fairy tutu.  I've been on the look out for a fabric-y/sparkly necklace, but there are tons of more affordable ones out there!

A soft wrap sweater - this wool one from Anthropologie looks warm but soft and I loveee the color.  I'd throw this on for layers and sneak it into ballet class : )

Another ring on sale at Jcrew!  I love the combination of pearls, crystals and gold; this would go with everything and dress things up a bit!

Sheer black dot tights!  I've been on the look out for some like this & haven't found any.  I may just have to order these off Urban Outfitters.  They also come in pink!

Well, I wish I could dress like Blair on a daily basis as well as live her lifestyle so I could actually have places to wear the clothes to.  But for now I'll just have to settle with the fact that I love this coat and it reminds me of the ones Jill and I just got at Old Navy!  If only I could master Blair's perfect curls...

The Joys of Fall

I'm so glad it's finally getting cooler and staying that way!  I now have chance to drink pumpkin spice coffee out of my new favorite mug: my halloween TJMaxx find!  I love the tiny kitty perched on the handle : )  Although I should be studying for my Greek Culture test I have this afternoon I am instead posing with a ceramic cat mug and applying my new Apple Spice lipstick I got in my free gift!  I'm ready for the weekend & Charleston and to see my sister & mom! Happy Friday!

Reasons to be Excited About Colder Weather

First of all the CW needs to stop coming out with more and more shows that I want to watch.  Second, vampire stories keep popping up everywhere including the new series on the CW:

I suppose it's hard to come up with creative story-lines so once again there's male vampire after mortal girl...will it be as captivating as the Twilight saga?  Hope so!

Home

I decided to come home for the weekend & I'm so glad I did. I unpacked and hung up my fall/winter wardrobe in anticipation of cooler weather, painted a chair for my new room, sewed my ballet shoes, bought some Halloween & Thanksgiving cards, and will be cooking dinner for my dad's birthday tonight! Now that it costs 44 cents to send a letter, I'd rather spend my almost-half-a-dollar elsewhere and save by using postcards!  To send a regular sized postcard is only 28 cents! What a steal!  I think now I will start collecting them instead of notecards & stationary.  I found these cute ones on etsy:

Rainy Day

Today was quite dreary but was fitting for my hangover.  Jill & I hit up Big Lots which revealed some fun trinkets, ate hummus in bed, and watched The Wizards of Waverly place movie.  Selena Gomez was adorable, of course.  Doing laundry would have been much more fun with a cute bird hamper like this one from Urban Outfitters:

Today is my first day at my new job being a vet assistant!  I only work the days when kitties are around  : )

Magazines on a Budget

My BFF/roommate Jill & I love to read magazines for fun ideas and inspiration.  Unfortunately we have too many favorites so we found an easy solution for multiple subscriptions - Coke points!   This is the third year we have done this and we currently have subscriptions to Lucky, Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, Fitness, Self, Cosmopolitan, Bon Cuisine, Ready Made, House Beautiful, Martha Stewart Weddings, and there are many other options!  It's much easier to accumulate points than you'd think!
